Mother Butter Honey Garlic Veggie Glaze


Mother Butter nut free gluten free honey vegetable glaze

A pan of roasted vegetables at dinnertime doesn’t always feel exciting. Sometimes, they need a little oomph! Keep it low effort but high reward by mixing up a bowl of this Mother Butter honey glaze and drizzling it on your cooked veggies. It takes just 5 minutes to elevate a simple side into something truly craveable, with ingredients you likely already have on hand. Basically any veg will do - carrots are shown here but feel free to put whatever you have on a sheet pan and cook until crispy. This is the perfect accompaniment to any main course any day of the week!

Equipment: small mixing bowl, measuring cups, measuring spoons, whisk

Ingredients: makes around ⅓ c 

  • ¼ c honey
  • 1 Tbsp Mother Butter
  • 1 Tbsp olive oil
  • 1 Tbsp water
  • 1 garlic clove, grated or finely chopped
  • ¼ tsp mustard powder
  • Salt to taste

  • Method:

    • In a small bowl, mix all ingredients together until combined.
    • Serve over hot or cold roasted or grilled vegetables.

    Tips/Swaps

    • To make it vegan, use maple syrup.
    • Spice it up by adding cayenne pepper or a squeeze of sriracha to taste.
    • Add lemon juice or red wine vinegar to thin it out and use as a salad dressing.
